This course is designed to improve the quality of cross-generational relationships in personal and professional life. Objectives include confronting and breaking down generational stereotypes, recognizing valuable learning opportunities, improving communication skills, and gaining understanding and insight of the people who represent each generation.
In this course we will:
Define each of the 5 current generations in the workforce
Understand the narratives associated with each generation
Work through real stories, conflicts, and successes in cross-generational interactions
Introduce and discuss the generational life cycle of inheritance, stewardship, and legacy
About the facilitator: Rick is a 3rd generation NH master plumber / pipe fitter who has worked in the construction industry throughout his career. Rick attended college at Southern New Hampshire University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Studies. He is also entering his 3rd consecutive school year teaching classes for the NH Plumbing Apprentice Program at the New Hampshire School of Mechanical Trades in Manchester, NH.
